The Ecole Mill Bay Parent Advisory Council (PAC) invites you to celebrate World Environment Day at Ecostravaganza! on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10 am to 3 pm.
Ecostravaganza! will be held at Ecole Mill Bay, 3175 Cobble Hill Road, Mill Bay. Our goal is to promote green living for families within the Cowichan Valley in a fun, friendly and welcoming way.

Ecostravaganza! will include a:
- Main Stage with all-day entertainment,
- Children's “Green Generation” eco-activities, games and contests,
- Climbing Wall,
- A marketplace featuring local eco-vendors and student-made green products,
- On-site bike repair service,
- Food court,
- Plant sale,
- Used Book Sale, and
- Silent Auction
Proceeds from Ecostravaganza! 2012 will help equip Ecole Mill Bay’s new classrooms and library, and make improvements to the music program.
Ecostravaganza! 2011 was a huge success with over 2000 attendees, 45 vendors and dozens of performers. The day included happy kids, incredible performances, beautiful sunshine and many recycled plants and books going to new homes.
The business vendors’ marketplace makes up the core of our event with businesses and non-profit associations offering products for sale and/or promotional information. These vendors need to fit within the green living parameters of Ecostravaganza! in one of the following categories:
- organic products (not necessarily certified)
- local products
- sustainable products and services
- recycled products and services
- ethical or fair trade products
- environmental information (both profit and non-profit organizations)
